He makes us smile on our most trying days.

His dream is to grow up and be a farmer - but before that happens he wants to play drums and be a country singer.

The First Day of School! 

Devin heads over to Colfax this year for 7th Grade and Kennedy is in Aber for 4th Grade.

Little Poopsie would not take off his warm fuzzy jammies (even though it was already 80 degrees this morning) - he was bound and determined to take the kids to school in them.

Two weeks ago today...

...it was our 13 year Anniversary! Happy Anniversary Michael Jay - Love ya more than ever!

Where have we been the last year....

...we've been FISHIN'!
Summer is flying by - school days are soon upon us. I'd like an extra month of summer please - we feel like we've only begun.
I hope to post more frequently this year...(HA!)
We have a busy year ahead. Devin starts 7th Grade...entering into the Junior High. Kennedy will be in 4th grade. Our little poopsie has one year left before he starts Kindergarten.

We have a year full of Junior High Football and Basketball. Kennedy will continue with her piano lessons and is "thinking" about basketball. Ryley always has so much "work to do" that he will be busy planting his fields and then hauling beets. It's tough just about being 5 and having such a big work load.

Fun in the Sun

We were invited to Deer Lake on our anniversary! We spent the day with our family, the weather was beautiful and it was a fun day had by all. Thanks Joe & Nancy!

Today the weather in North Dakota was absolutely perfect! We sat outside and the kids played ~ boy do they have endless amounts of energy.

The kids have requested grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner? Doesn't seem appropriate for the weather, but whatever. For dessert I am trying a new recipe - Chocolate Banana Bread. I found the recipe @ www.joyofbaking.com. If you get a chance, check out that awesome baking website.

It's summer - we are enjoying the days - they are busy and fun-filled.

Baseball, Baseball and MORE Baseball!

Mike & I got married in July....right in the heart of baseball season. Shortly after our wedding, I came to find out that he liked to WATCH baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins. And do you know what? Baseball is on EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT...or so it seemed to me. *SIGH*

Who would've known that almost 12 years later - I have come to really like baseball, I even watch it on TV.

And this little guy (well he's not so little anymore) - LIVES FOR BASEBALL! How very fun it is for all of us to watch him. He's the catcher and he loves it.

Up to bat....

...he got a hit and made it on to base...he's thinking...Life is Good!

I don't think that Kennedy has ever sat and watched a baseball game - she usually finds the playground and makes her own fun!

And then there is Ryley and his big cousin Lacy...I don't think they watched the game either...they were also busy making their own fun!

Kennedy's 1st Piano Recital

On Sunday, May 31st, Kennedy had her very 1st Piano Recital. She was a basket full of nerves, but she did great. Her songs were: Yankee Doodle (a duet with Mrs. Viland), Jack and the Beanstalk and Ode to Joy.

Kennedy, you are a natural at the piano and we love to listen to you play!

Lucky

Lucky is the new baby calf at my mom & dad's house. This was Mother's Day and my little Ryley buns loves to help feed Lucky! Ryley and his cousin's (Keagan & Kasen) were able to watch Lucky being born via c-section.

Happy New Year

We had a great Christmas, New Year's Eve was a blast, we have jumped into 2009 and can't wait for the memories!

Our baby boy turned "3" on

December 15th.

Happy Birthday (Yesterday) Devin!

Eleven years ago we brought home a teenie tiny baby boy weighing 6 lbs. 6 oz., today he is just about as tall as both of his Grandma's. Devin is sweet, sensitive and caring. His eyes sparkle and his smile melts our hearts. He will forever be our baby boy...our first born!
